Dr. Robert Macchione brings decades of experience and a deep commitment to holistic health care to his role as Nutritional Consultant at AME. As the director and co-owner of Americare Health & Rehab Center, he combines clinical expertise with compassionate care to help patients achieve optimal wellness.
Dr. Macchione is a graduate primary care Chiropractic Physician from the National College of Chiropractic and also holds a doctorate in Naprapathy from the Chicago National College of Naprapathy. In addition, he has completed advanced studies in acupuncture at the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine and is a board-certified, licensed medical acupuncturist.
He is also licensed by the State of Illinois as a nutrition counselor. Dr. Macchione holds a DACBN degree as a diplomate in nutrition as well as his CCN as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. He is also a certified Science Based Nutrition™ practitioner and provider, and a member of the International & American Association of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN).
He has completed a postgraduate course at the National College of Chiropractic in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and serves on the board of directors as Vice President of the National Association of Spinal Care (NASC). He was an instructor at the Chicago National College of Naprapathy, working with students and interns in the proper use of physical therapeutics — modalities utilized in the treatment of patients.
Dr. Macchione has contributed articles to several national journals, including the World Chiropractic Journal, and is a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society (ICS) as well as its Council on Sports Injuries and Physical Fitness.
His involvement in sports medicine includes serving as a team and tournament physician for the Illinois Taekwondo Association, and as a tournament physician for the Junior Olympic Taekwondo Championship.
Dr. Macchione has also completed post-graduate courses in Chiropractic Rehabilitation at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, as well as courses in Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA). He has continued his education at the National University of Health Sciences and Texas Chiropractic College, and regularly attends professional conferences and seminars throughout the country to stay up to date in the field.
